*For starters I am Laos and I understand a good amount of Thai.*
I really think it was blown out of proportions. I actually took the time to watch the whole interview to see what exactly was wrong. I can say that there were many times that they were being rude; Side talking, fidgeting, random outburst and anything with feet wasn’t good(knowing Thai /Laos Culture)But their answers were decent. They answered well. The whole controversy seems to revolve around the part they talk about the floods. They answered well, and they were sympathetic and one who can read body language and facial expression would find it evident (but many people seem to lack that ability or they haven’t watched it. like the whole thing… If you haven’t click it right there ^).They talked about how money is the only aid they can offer at that point not in a snide way that everyone seems to make it to be. They talked about charity and how Kyung donates half his salary. I don’t think the Thai translator even translated the part of the 7000 won. Or I just missed it… correct me if I’m wrong! Everyone also made it seem like they were on top of furniture and clapping their feet and laughing like mad men at this point of the interview but they were not. they were being their loud selves at the wrong time. Nothing offensive was said but you can say that the rudeness was offensive. From my understanding. I think the kpop Idols who tweeted were wrong in doing that. Especially the awkward I’m-being-indirect-but- not-so-indirect tweet by Nickhun.( I love Nickhun though so no hate there at all I can sympathize if I had to. I see where he’s coming from) I think they may have been one of the bigger factoring reason for this to escalate to this level.
That was what I saw from that video. Nothing deserving of death or the blame for shame upon a whole nation. Just some kids that should spruce up on manners. I really do feel like people didn’t watch the whole interview. If they did it was probably edited and mistranslated. I really wished people weren’t so cruel and back stabbing.
People are so stupid.
Never wish for another’s death. Those who have signed suicide petitions should be god damn ashamed of themselves. That is fucking proof; written proof that you are a monster. The reason I’m writing this is because I think people are so fucked up, so messed that you could wish a multitude of people dead. You would be considered a murderer. To even have those thoughts? You’re a killer by nature.
The later half of the interview was pretty funny and interesting~
They were talking about girls. It was so cute how they were attempting to say girls in Thai. There were translations of their answer about girls (probably ideal types) that kept on repeating Pou-yeng (they were listening pretty intently started around 21 minutes) then Ukown was like What’s Poing poing? They were thinking it was a type of aegyo ahahhaha it was cute. Pou-Yeng Means girl. Later they were attempting to say things in Thai (starting at 23 Minutes) [P.O’s way of answering wasn’t so great since he made kicking gestures to the faces of people] since they ran out of the basic phrases by the time it was B-Bomb’s turn the interviewer taught them how to say I’m hungry now) I didn’t really like how he said eh?! I’m not sure if it was toward like what he was trying to say or what they had said and then there was Jaehyo who needed something to say.. he was at a lost because everyone stole the good ones hahah He was like: uhh Huew-lauwe..([I’m hungry now] /members say things)WAE?? Uhh I don’t Remeber! Poing poing? Po-yeng.. Kup kun Krab.. and they taught him something along the lines of “I want a kiss on the cheek.” And they ended with some thanks and photos.
I wrote this from what I saw and what I understand. I went in and watched with unbias eyes using common sense and understanding of manners/ rules of respect.
I wonder did all you go through the whole entire interview? Do you understand Thai or Korean? DID YOU READ AN AKP ARTICLE???!!11!
This is the most I’ve ever written on any topic…
